2009 Salutations

Dear Blogger Peeps,

Just coming up for air to say hello, I’m alive, I’ve missed you all, and sorry I’ve been M.I.A.,( I’ve been busy falling in love ((more about that later ; )) Lol, that’s not the only reason why, but I’m just gonna use it for an excuse, mm k? So… it’s 2009, a whole New Year, a year full of adventure and promise. Boy does time fly. I’m still re-adjusting to a slower pace of life after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I spent Christmas and New Years in Utah with my family and left 2008 behind with some fond memories, love in my heart, and 5 extra pounds added during the holidays to my stomach that transferred into 2009 (HEY YOU!!! Yes, you, stubborn belly fat! Go away!) I thought the pounds would magically disappear when the clock struck twelve New Year’s Eve(which would have been quite a sight to behold as I was sitting at a slot machine at a casino in Mesquite, Nevada, haha) but then when it was 12 o’clock I looked down, and nope, the 5 lbs were still there.

Special thanks to my sister Kim for hosting me during the holidays and feeding this lassie well (oh, and also kudos to Café Rio and Durango’s Grill in St. George for their superb, affordable (and FATTENING) cuisine!) Thanks thanks thanks! I am now going about how to remedy the situation by eating according to my thyroid, and blood type, and also the singer's diet (which excludes dairy, or at least can only have small amounts). Several of my sisters have lost a bunch of weight doing similar stuff so it’s been fun to converse and share tales/advice. Now I just need to work out more! (Reinstating that New Years Resolution again now, lol!)

Anyhoo, anyone noticed that I’m in such a good mood, lol? If not, I am pointing it out, haha. Because I really am. And I feel really blessed. It must be love (it is!) Oh yes, promised to mention something about that…guess I can share that me and my boyfriend will be in England for Valentine’s Day (a 2-week trip, woohoo!). Don’t want to be one of those sappy, bragging couples that annoy people, just wanting to share on my blog that I’m just really happy, and especially after all my doleful tales about my dating life I thought it would be good to share some good news. So yes, I’m in a relationship, and we are sappy to think of it, lol, and in love. And we’ll be in London for 2 weeks! Woohoo!

Okay, so now here is the part where I say I want to hear from all of you, because I genuinely do! If you don’t comment I’ll go on your blogs and stalk ya anyway, lol! I’ve missed my bloggy friends. This time apart has made me realize that friendships are like pet fish ( goldfish to be exact) if you don’t feed them, they die (then again, goldfish die regardless anyway, so maybe that’s a bad analogy). You know what I mean peeps! Just want to say I’ve enjoyed getting to know each of you through blogs & such in 2008, and maybe we’ll catch up and some of us meet in person in 2009. It’s a little late, but oh well. Happy New Year!
